I went to a really really loud rock concert last night, and when it was over my ears felt "clogged" and ringing its a day later and it is still ringing... how long will this last and should I be concerned... is there anything I can do to make it go away faster?
My friends in the medical field say its normal and will go away in a few days... but i feel like i'm going crazy!

This summer I went to a rage against the machine concert and the same thing happened for about two days. It made me wonder if Van Gogh listened to hard rock, because i wanted to cut my ears off. It usually only lasts a day or two, but it'll teach you an important lesson about wearing ear plugs to shows (sounds crazy, but it minimizes the noise, but doesn't affect your enjoyment of the show, and you can still hear well enough). Maybe you could try listening to even louder music to drown out the ring.

WHAT???????????? I can't hear you. Ever since I went to a Rolling Stone concert in the 70's, I've had a hard time hearing and I have this constant ringing in my ears.

There is nothing you can do. It should be gone after about 24 hrs. If you insist on being so close to the PA then let me suggest ear plugs for your next concert. That ringing will last forever if you continually expose yourself to high decibel sound.
