My Nan has recently died and she kept what seems like years upon years of family photos, i am stuggaling to find a way of being able to store them and keep them safe whilst also finding a way to let people be able to look at them without just sticking them into a box.. Any help would be really apprciated.

One thing i did with alot of my pictures-i found a big picture frame from Goodwill and made a collage. I didn't leave any space between pictures 2 where i could get alot on it. when people walk in my house that is the first thing they look at-it's neat looking, displays a lot of your pictures and fun 2 do.

How wonderfull that you have these little treasures.......i too have lots of old photos, handed down to me from family, and lots of them are Sepia and more than a hundred years old.

My advice to you is to do some research on the internet and try and purchase some Acid Free paper albums for them. Do not on anyaccount stick them in an album with glue or sellotape, and never write with pen on the backs of them. These little treasures should be handled as little as posible, especially if they are very old. If they happen to be sepia photos then they are best copied, so that you can handle these rather than exposing the old ones to light too often. if you do have really old ones that have advertisements on the back of them, then have the backs of them copied as well, as this is a source of interest to people as well.

can you upload them to your computer? or go to walmart or Walgreen's and you can do it there. that way you always have a fresh copy of the photos and you can do lots of things like make slide shows. photo albums are good too. but with digitalizing them , you can email them to your various family members so everyone has them. sorry for your loss.
