It is a size made, but it is uncommon.

Can you adapt down or up?
Would be cheaper than ordering it in, because being an odd size, it's going to by expensive to get.

Even if you have to order the fittings to adapt, or retrofit, because wholesale houses usually order pipe by the palate, you may not find one that can help you.

Also, are you sure you measured right? 2" pvc pipe measures about 2 1/2 outside diameter.

If you have tried most plumbing merchants you should have got it by this time, it's a good idea to take a sample if you have one, but getting this size shouldn't be a problem.
Try a web search for PVC pipe suppliers and your sure to be successful. And you will be able to get the adapter that you need as well.

If you are sure that it is not 2" ID (inside diameter), which is approx' 2-1/2" OD, then you can get some at a plumbing supply store. They sell it in 10' lengths.
Or, you can buy it from an online supplier such as http://www.mcmaster.com/.
The will also have the reducer you need.

the rare-eagle 2.5 pvc does exist, but few carry it. You won't find it at the big box stores, only small or custom shops carry this item now. Because of the difficulty to replace and find fittings for, I can't recommend using it for home projects. However, it fits certain fancy water bottles inside making it great for bottle-rocket launching (vinegar and baking soda)

too loosely. Just go to the hardware store and see what fits what the best to suit your needs. You can then try different types of pipe. PVC with cpvc, steel pipe, electrical conduit, etc. then you'll know which fit you like best.

Perhaps the link above will help? Then it's for you to determine thin/thick wall, etc.

Certainly then you should also be able to find "reducer couplings"
