Somehow I ended up with all of the family pictures. I spent all of one summer and fall with them all over the couch and on the floor going through them. I made albums for my brother, my half brother and my two sons. I shared the pictures around so that each would have a complete pictorial history of the family. I have yet to get mine into albums. I'll get around to it one of these days.

Buy a hardcover notebook, (you can find really nice ones in stores) and take your time and in the top page write a nice title: "A Friend´s legacy, Your life story in your own words" (for example) and write questions on every two pages like : *Describe the most interesting person you ever met. What where the qualities that made that individual so outstanding? *During childhood, who was your best friend?Share some or your fondest memories of fun times together. *What places in the world would you still like to visit? why? *What mischievous prank did you pull on someone? How did it affect you? *Share a hilarious travel experience. and some things like that, it will be a nice present, and I'm sure your friend will love to write it and maybe post some photos for you. Greetings!!!★

Who left the gate open for the weirdos this evening? (LOL)
For this Christmas I took a beautiful oil painting off of my wall
and gave it to one of my daughters that had been admiring it for years. I wrapped up a box and put a pair of my tennis shoes, and when she opened it I said; " give me my shoes and go look in your sister's truck. She was so excited !!
My other daughter had given me a lovely antique shadow box some time ago and I knew she loved it and it would look so good in her home. So, I took it off of my wall, wrapped it up then wrapped the dozen miniature little cottages like the ones Thomas Kincaid paints, in a separate box. She was also very excited!!

Christmas, 1999, at my Y2K cabin I gave my flock of chickens the chopped up remains of a coyote who'd been picking them off one by one. I figured they were rejoining lost ones of the flock while getting a brief taste of what it must be like being a coyote.
Still almost brings tears to my eyes remembering how happy and proud they were.

Last year...I had my parents wedding photo restored and gave one to every sibling and grandchild. It was rescued by my cousin from a garage that my aunt owned. My parents were married while dad was on leave in WW2. Mom is gone now and my dad cried when I gave it to him.

Shortly after my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimers, I made three large photo/scrap book albums for her. One with herself as the focus with pics of her parents and her through the years. One with my dad with the same pics. And one with me as the focus from a tadpole to present.

Best that I can think of is last year I made a scrapbook (photo album) for my folks from some of their old pictures.
I intend to do more like that.
The response was overwhelmingly appreciated.
