Once again, another political correctness statement. "Politically correct" people will not be happy until they ruin everything for everyone, and then we will wake up to see what a mess things are really in. I sent 25 cards this year. If you are so he** bent on worrying about recycling, just buy cards that are recycled. Geeez. Politically correct people need to get off their high horses about every nit picking thing. It's getting really really old. I will continue to send Christmas cards until the P. Correct people get them outlawed. I figure it's only a matter of time, (then I'll make my own,) cuz Gawd knows we sure don't want to get rid of all the trees. And btw, trees are being replaced on a daily basis ok?

If one didn't use the toilet you wouldn't use any paper there either. Now how far does someone really want to go with this? You better think before you speak out. You may not be living the convenient life you are leading now.

And if any of the political correctness peeps are out there. Merry Christmas, and no apology for it! :)

i think they are a marvelous cheery and relatively inexpensive way to let friends and family in far-off places that we are thinking of them during the christmas holidays.
our christmas cards include news and chit-chat, and without a card we probably wouldn't ever get around to sitting down to write a note and letting people know we are thinking of them.
we do our share for charity year round, we do extra at christmas. we conserve energy and recycle at every opportunity - so for this one brief month every year - we think of ourselves, our family and our friends first - and we will not feel guilty about it.
so i still send cards and our home receives three to four dozen in return every year. we keep the posties employed and we all enjoy the cards we receive.
merry christmas!

No. I love giving and receiving X-mas cards!! Christmas comes once a year. We all can do other things to save the earth like stop using plastic bags at the grocery stores.

I only just mailed out two, only because I received two cards. but, Yes I do think they are a waste of money. Most people only want what is in the card, if there is anything in the card such as Money or Gift card.

I agree.

I love Christmas, but hate sending receiving cards.

I get cards at Christmas from people who I don't speak to from one year to the next, and feel obliged to send one back.

I don't think I'll send any next year at all and put the money I would have spent on them to a charity.

heck no! i love it. it's the one time of year i enjoy opening my mail box, because there is more nice mail than junk mail! i get excited to see who sent what (i'm not referring to gifts here)and who sent pictures. now other occasions, i agree. halloween and thanksgiving cards, and birthday cards when you are actually attending the party- no one saves them and the kids don't look at them

Yes nice sentiment but I hate them and the kill trees unless they are recyled plus some are so ugly. I really wish people would quit giving them to me.
