I don't fart in the tub, but if I did, I suppose it would be no worse than the butt molecules that are already in there from my butt.

Almost everybody says its hair. It may well could be but here is a new solution. Your vent pipe may be clogged with something such as leaves. When there is not enough air behind water for it to drain, it drains slow and will cause a gurgling sound at your sink, stool, washer, whatever else is connected to the same vent. The p-trap is filled with water and when its trying to pull air, it makes that gurgling sound. Go to the roof with a vacuum and vacuum that vent pipe. You can try snaking it as well.

heck no. water farts feel better than regular farts. i like the bubbly way they rise to the top of the water. LOL.
