Unfortunatly we dont live in an ideal world where we can wrap things up so neatly. There has always been rapists, murderers, liars, cheats, thieves, and there always will be. Everyone on the planet is fighting to survive, to get what they want, unfortunatly there are some who will go that little bit further to get it. The underlying reason for all of the criminal activity is greed, and the urge to have everything now, and its people who want to be honest and live a decent life who suffer. There is the thief, who will steal and take the risk of being caught, just because he wont work for what he wants. There is the rapist who gets a thrill out of 'taking' another person, because they like the thought of inflicting pain on another or they quite simply want instant gratification.
To elaborate furthur on your idea of evil in the world, if you have a religious 'bent', then you may have thoughts about good and evil in a religious sense. If you do then this answers your question, as to if there will always be bad things happening in the world, as if this goes hand in hand with religian, then it has always existed, depending what religian you practice.

Afraid not. My son is now 2 years old and there has been many occasions where I have been worried sick through illnesses and accidents. If you have not already done so, give her some medised (check with the pharmacy that she can have this at 6 months old). This is a great medicine to give at night time when you have a poorly child - it helps them sleep too. Failing which stick to Nurofen or Calpol. You will find this illness will set her back even after she has recovered, ie, if she usually sleeps well you may have difficulties getting her back to how she was for a while. But as for your question, worrying will never stop - lets face it as a mother you never want to see your child suffer no matter how old they are!

You, me, and half the world are waiting for the messianic age, man.
Seriously though, the best you can do is to take reasonable precautions. Don't take candy from strangers, don't meet people face-to-face whom you only know from the internets. Y'know?
Don't forget there is a whole lot of unexpected good in the world as well... keep your eyes open for that too.

Change begins with you and the way you look at the world. If you think and act the way you know is righteous, you actions will change the world for the better. Bad Karma makes things worse, good Karma works for the positive.

Many have your concerns, but you have to live life with the fact that world peace will never be and that one day man will destroy him self and all other life forms. Jimmy Hindrix quote: " When the power of love over comes the love of power the world will know peace"

This is my blog at myspace:
Can a person by worrying add just one instance to their life time? Constantly our thoughts are consumed with the worry of more sustenance or having less sustenance. Worried, about something that is guaranteed, is promised. Do you not know what worry does to our brothers and sisters? Do you think the negative side doesn't understand that as a tool; a tool that has got the minds and brains of our brothers and sisters in constant concern. Concern and worry leads to disastrous actions, destructions of the self and the mind, causes question on the validity of brotherhood, man I can go on. Do you not think that the adversary knows this? Adversary is a strong term, but you know what I'm saying. The food that goes in your bellies and the clothes on your hide are promised to you. Why do you worry so? Why?
Our father (Moses) Musa was leaving to go back to Ramses, the pharaoh and was concerned about his family, relayed it to The Lord. God asked him to pick up a stone like chunk of dried up mud and asked him to break it in halves until he got to the smallest piece and finally broke that one in half. Out came a small insect crawling, then our father is made aware of the fact that this tiny creature is getting its sustenance imagine the importance of that in regards to us with The Lord. Just think we are in the top echelon in His creation, the best; so He says, is proud of. Don't you think if we have faith in his rule and trust, he'll take care of us? He doesn't have to you know, hook us up, we can be destroyed and a new creation can be created. But look at our demeanors, the way we take each others sustenance. If you can't by worry, add simply just one moment to your life time, then why worry about matters that are simpler.
HE DOESN'T WANT US TO THINK ABOUT THIS, we begin to strengthen our faiths here, you know he doesn't want this. Now by all means we can get more sustenance, we can sincerely ask Him and work hard towards it, our Lord gives it to us through one of our brothers and sister, we come across some unclaimed, etc. Having extra sustenance by worry is like having the biggest diamond in the world and no safe to put it in and you are living in down-town ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Detroit. I'm serious. And the sustenance we get whether it's extra or just enough, we are to share it with the ones that DON"T HAVE ANY. That is what we are supposed to do. That's why there are poor in the world, we want to keep everything for ourselves and want more. But The One keeps balance, how would we know wealth if we didn't know poverty? I know almost every one that reads this asked, well why are there so many poor in the world? Wake up jack-***; remove the veil from your senses and see everything for what it is. We'll continue later.
This is inspired by the teachings of our Messiah, (Isa) Jesus the son Mary.
