was it actually his idea from what iv read he was a minor player. still lets hope some other player minor or not gets lucky and decides to do the European parliament. no point doing ours they have nothing to do except vote themselves more and more money for doing less and less work.

Absolutely not. If he lived today, guy fawkes would be labelled a religious fundamentalist and a terrorist. Murder for religious reasons should never be justified.

It probably would have made little difference in the long run. Replacing an extremist protestant theocracy with an extremist catholic theocracy? Hardly a fair trade. Fawkes wasn't about fighting against opression, he was about fighting his opressors in order to in turn oppress them.

with the government we have today, just think; his actions would have driven the course of time into a whole different scenario!! maybe we wouldn't have such a sh*t government now!!
