Overall which of these two cards are the best:
Visiontek ATI HD 3870
Visiontek ATI HD 3850
I have been receving more cons about the 3870, but the 3850 has no cons and has the best ratings everywhere.
It has to play crysis at top performance, Half-life, and all new games out.
I just want to know which one has a smooth and reliable performance on that woun't let me down for a long time.
Please i have been researching for almost 4 months now.

Nvidia 8800GT.
The 256mb is about $210, but the 512mb is a better buy at $240-250.

I like EVGA and XFX, but just check newegg reviews and see which ones have a high rating and a good warranty. Some even allow you to overclock the card and add a better cooler without voiding the warranty.

Well, the 3870 is better, because first off it is higher in number than the 3850. The 3870 has higher core and memory clocks on it. It also has a higher amount of memory on it. It will be much better than the 3850. Just might cost you a little more and you might need a better power supply.

HD 3870 is really better than 3850. BUT 8800GT would be the best bang for your buck. Here's how they perform on Crysis Demo:
