I'm gay. lol Thats my main reason.

But also, I don't like seeing LGBT people being treated differently just because of who they love. They should be able to marry just like straight people.

Am in Canada, and such has been legal for some five years now, nothing has changed, the sky is blue, the country runs as well as before. Its not longer a big deal and not even on the public radar. When the Supreme Court of Ontario first ruled in favour, its statements were this may upset a few religious sensibilities but nothing more. Outside of religion and votes, there seems little reason.

I think every one has a right to marry who the want.
I don't think that the states or the federal government has a right to state whether a legal marriage is only between a man and a woman..

If two people love each other then they have a right to get married...

I am personally FOR gay marriage simply for the fact that it is no longer a religious institute. To be married has social and political ramifications which means a marriage/coupling of two people is not under the rule of the church. To deny the marriage of two consenting adults based on a RELIGIOUS BELIEF is to directly go against one of the our (united states) basic ideals (seperation of church and state). If marriage was ONLY a religous practice then I would have no problem whatsoever with that religion not recognizing my coupling because that is their belief. But when the government (supposedly religion neutral) takes a legally binding contract and makes decision on it based on their personal religous views, well that seems to me like they are trying to FORCE people to follow their religion which is obviously against our constitution.

Normally i would say i'm against it but now that i think about it it doesn't effect me at all. I'm not the one licking and sucking on another guys cock or eating another womans pussy. Although i'm not for it either normally this would be because of they can't procreate and are more likey to break-up than a male/female relationship. I started to think you know what adoptions an option and i guess everyone breaks-up for a reason so whatever let em do what they want (although i still don't think homosexuality is right!)

I am all for gay/lesbian marriage. They need love too. I don't see what is so wrong about loving somebody that is of your gender. And the president expects them to fight in this war too. I mean, if he can't at least let them marry the gender they love, why should they be fighting in his war?? HE SHOULD LEGALIZE GAY MARRIAGE!!WHO ELSE IS WITH ME???

people have rights, man and woman can be married, why not have same sex marriages, oh sorry "civil partnerships" i think it is great that gay/lesbian people can actually commit to each other. Why push sexuality under the carpet for any longer?

I'm for it because I'm gay and I want to be able to marry the man I love. I would also like the nearly 1200 rights given to heterosexual couples through marriage.

EDIT: Oh, and although it may be rude of me to say it this way, but if your religious beliefs do not approve of gay marriage, you don't have to get one. But let us.

Of course same sex marriages or civil partnerships are a good thing. If two homosexual people want to get married they are not going to do any harm to anyone.
What I am wondering is how Angelina - Anastasia can possibly know what "god" wants.

I am for it not just because im bi but also because who the hell are we to tell people who they can and cant get married?

the whold God thing. if he really didnt want people to be gay would he have made it so people were gay? i mean seriously
yes i know he doesnt want us to sin and people sin, but he forgives our sins doesnt he? I may not follow any religion but i do know a little bit. God KNOWS we are going to sin and God KNOWS we are going to be gay, he isnt really against it as much as people make it out to be. People need to relax and get over it, people are gay wheather they like it or not.
