how can i bring my labour on im getting really uncomfortable and having a lot of braxton hicks pains that are getting stronger every time i have them and the doctor wants to induce me in next week but i do not want to be induced if i can help it. i have tried all the usuall sex, hot curry, driving over bumps, pinapple, raspberry leaf tea, i don't want to go down the route of caster oil because that can make you really ill, can any body suggest anything else that i have not tried yet im getting really desperate. help me please

it sounds to me like you have tried everything poss!!!! i know what you are going through cuz i have been through it twice myself, but no matter what you do that little darling will only come out when it wants to!!! i did all you have done and also had a membrane sweep but to no avail !! my 1st came a week late and my 2nd 2 weeks late!!! but they both made an appearance before i was about to be induced as i too wanted a more natural labour so just keep your fingers crossed that your little one will do the same for you!!! i think you should try and relax a little although i know its difficult, good luck with your labour......... and welcome to the little one when he or she finally decides to leave your tummy!!!!

try sitting on the corner of your bed or exercise ball if u have one and bouncing up and down! my friend said it has helped labour start in her last 2 pregnancies (she did it for around 45 mins). unfortunately my bed aint bouncy enough, im 39 weeks and ready 2 burst!

my wife mixed cod liver oil with orange juice and sat in the bath with the water as hot as she could bear it, downed the orange juice, just about held it down without throwing up and half an hour later she was in labour.
now i wouldn't personally recommend that to anyone else, but thats what happened
have a great day

You can't. Nothing works. Think about it, if anything (besides Pitocin) worked to start labor for 100% of women, it would be posted everywhere, and would be common knowledge. Sorry, but I got a lot of suggestions, nothing worked. Its just coincidence if it does work...

Why don't you want to be induced by your doctor? What you are asking about is how to induce yourself. Why not wait a week and do it under a doctor's care so that you and your baby will be safe?

masturbation...sorry to be crude but lots of orgasms are supposed to get you moving.......it's to do with the oxytocin that is released after the orgasm...try it..let's face..if it fails you've lost nothing and gain a smile..l.o.l. seriously though it's supposed to work.
