There is no Indian involvement in this stunt by a serial self-promoter who has often been denounced and excluded by tribal groups.

By treaty with the United States, Indian nations were already supposed to be sovereign. But, in good old American fashion, the U.S. set about breaking the treaties before the ink was dry. They have been doing it for 400 years.
Of the 350 + treaties made with the native tribes on this continent, the U.S. has broken EVERY ONE of them....not one treaty has been honored by the government.....
The Tribal governments have every right to declare themselves apart..... And Russell is the man who can make it happen.

I did not hear about any such thing this week, but, hey, they have been a sovereign nation for a long time. They just do not have the armies to keep out the aggressors.

Good, they and the rest of the Native American tribes should have done this a long time ago.

It will never fly. They may get recognition but the US government will not give them back property the US has owned for decades.

I wish them luck, but they should not have mentioned anything about taxes. The government probably would have ignored them, but the IRS does not like to be challenged.
