Alcohol and such are good suggestions except that if they're champagne glasses you don't want (I presume) to contaminate their first toast with the toxic elements in denatured alcohol. I would use a little vinegar and brown paper, then rinse and buff dry. Cheers

There's a product called Goo Gone for just that purpose. It works pretty well. It does leave behind an oily residue but that can be removed with washing. Stores like Walmart, Home Depot, etc should carry this item.

Goo gone or plain rubbing alcohol. Goo gone is a product you can purchase, it takes sticky off of nearly everything. Alcohol will probably work well for what you're doing b/c it completely evaporates and leaves no residue.

Use nail polish remover or lighter fluid and wipe with a soft kleenex.

Nail polish remover will do it if you don't have time to go out and buy Goo Gone.

I find the best thing is either rubbing alcohol or ice cubes. Good luck.

If you rub cooking oil or baby oil on the sticky part and let it set a few minutes...you will be able to wash it away. :)
