Do you recomend any laptop computers from either companys- Dell or HP- for a student on a buget?
The laptop should have about 120GBs, lightweight, durable, and not be too pricey.

If budget is your primary concern, try Acer. They are low in price (because they don't advertise) and pretty good in quality.

Don't get a HP or a Compaq unless you get a good service contract.

Here is one from Newegg.com for only $650

the only upgrade you would need is more RAM

Communication: Modem, LAN and WLAN
CPU Type: Intel Pentium dual-core T2080(1.73GHz)
Graphics Card: Intel GMA950
Hard Disk: 160GB

I would consult with consumerreports.org or pcmag.com, both are good sources. I use these whenever I have any questions or need some advice on computers or related technology. Try going to epinions.com for tons of user reviews and go to froogle.com for best prices.
