I do, he seriously made me realize that christmas isn't about gifts. The book really made me enjoy christmas more and I was happy I did. I don't think christmas would be the same without the help of him, he showed a lot of people that they need to enjoy christmas because one day you might wake up and find your self alone and without the opion to share it with family.

After the programme on BBC one earlier, if everything the Griff Rhys Jones said is true, I would say yes he did invent or encourage many of the ways we celebrate Christmas today x

No...the traditions evident in A Christmas Carol were already a part of who we are...they grew over years and would have remained evident anyway.
