I don't think terrorism IS propaganda. The threat of terrorism may be exaggerated or used for propaganda purposes, but that doesn't mean there is no terrorist threat at all.

It's pretty obvious that there are people in the world who want to use terroristic violence against the United States in order to make us do something they want. We may disagree on why these people have a grudge against the U.S., or the best way to deal with them, or how much of a threat they pose, but you'd have to be willfully blind to not think there was any threat at all.

It's just the same as communism. Did our country go to excess in our reaction to communism? Sometimes yes. Did certain politicians exploit the fear of communism for their own selfish goals? Of course.

But that doesn't mean there was never a communist threat. Communist regimes did exist, they did bad things, and they wanted to gain influence in the world just like we did. The Gulag was not a figment of Western imagination. The invasion of Finland and Poland, and the later crackdowns in Prague and Budapest were not simply propaganda creations.

If people want to look at terrorism, they should remember our own American history, where Americans who fought against the British in the Revolutionary war utilized terrorist tactics to defeat the Brits. I think it's ironic that we are condemning a war tactic that we used to gain our independence. I don't condone violence, but I do find the hyprocrisy a bit thick to stomach. I see the "logic" here is: there is "good" terrorism when we use it, and there's "bad" terrorism when it's used against us.

The US has utilized dubious methods to get our way, such as our CIA's use of waterboarding, a tactic considered by many other countries to be a form of torture. Other countries aren't too impressed with the justification used by the US to invade Iraq, nor have they approved of our imprisonment of Gitmo prisoners indefinitely, without trial.

I know terrorism is real, deadly, and evil, but it is also being used by our country to justify actions other nations consider torture, a violation of human rights, and a violation of international law. Communism was used as an excuse to question the patriotism of Americans during the McCarthy era. J Edgar Hoover's papers were declassified this week revealing that he had gathered a list of 12,000 Americans that he recommended should be imprisoned in prisons and military locations indefinitely, with only a military trial with a judge to be provided, eventually. Luckily, his recommendations were not instituted. Unfortunately, today we have a President who doesn't have a great deal of respect for civil or human rights.

Really. Thousands dead at the hands of islamic savages world wide is a propaganda program? Pretty effective propaganda. Real blood and all. BTW- These animals have been doing this since the late 60's, early 70's. Munich Olympics ring a bell? Google Leon Klinghoffer for another heart warming story about the "religion of peace." Guy in a wheelchair thrown overboard from a cruise ship for the crime of being a Jew.

i have attended a lot of seminars, read counless books on forex trading and it all cost me thousands of dollars. the worst thing was i blew up my first account. after that i opened another account and the same thing happened again. i started to wonder why i couldn,t make any money in forex trading. at first i thought i knew everything about trading. finally i found that the main problem i have was i did not have the right mental in trading. as we know that psychology has great impact on our trading result. apart from psychology issue, there is another problem that we have to address. they are money management, market analysis, and entry/exit rules. to me money management is important in trading. i opened another account and start to trade profitably after i learnt from my past mistake. i don't trade emotionally anymore.
if you are serious about trading you need to address your weakness and try to fix it. no forex guru can make you Professional trader unless you want to learn from your mistake.

After going to your 360, I hope you were just trying to get people thinking. If you truely believe that, I must think you are either dilusional or ignorant of world history.

Most people who have a problem with reality. Cause the terrorists have declared war on us, have attacked us numerous times, and keep telling us they're going to attack more. And the communist threat wasn't propoganda either. They really did want to rule the world.

edit: being called brainwashed by you is a compliment. I don't want to be anywhere near what you would call normal or enlightened!
