According to the Mayan calander, time ends or something happens. The earth will be exactly in the middle of the milky way and hence gravitational forces could change the magnetic location of the north pole and other geophysical changes could happen relatively quickly. What do you think?

"According to the Mayan calander, time ends or something happens. "

Correcting: Accoring to the Mayan Calendar, a new age is born.

There's nothing about time ending, this is pure myth from people's tale and from Conspiracy Theories.

The end of a cycle and begin of another DOES NOT means that the world will end, we'll simply enter another era.

I read in Scientific American magazine that the magnetic poles have shifted north to south and back again several times over the course of the geological history of the planet earth and is getting slowly ready to shift again. They don't know just when, however. Also, we don't know just when the Rapture will occur, but it must occur before "the end of the world" (which is wrong, it is just the end of an age, when a new heaven and earth will be created) and again, it could be at any time, so we are to be prepared. No body knows just when it will occur, as it says this in the KJ version of the Bible. Don't worry if you are a Christian. :You are right about the Mayan calendar ending on that date, but we don't know why they didn't go on with it. God bless.

The Apocalypse.
The world probably won't end, people said the world would end in Jan. 1, 1999, that didn't happen. People said the world would end on June 6, 2006 (06/06/06), that didn't happen. People say the world will end in the winter solstice of 2012, that won't happen.

The world is being destroyed right now by greedy humans, but even our attempts at large scale destruction are going to take a little longer than that. As far as it blowing up and disappearing, I don't think thats going to happen anytime soon.

the earth is roughly 30,000 light years away from the center of the milky way. i dont think you have to worry any time soon.

as for info about predictions made from a calender, i think your question would be more accurately placed in the astrology section. what you've read is nothing but pseudo-science.
