or what a democratic congress will do?
Its always "dont elect them or the country will fall apart...blah blah blah".

Now, in my opinion, how can they say this with a straight face after nearly 8 years of Bush as president, and after all those years of republican dominated congresses?

This is sheer deceipt and hypocrisy.....nothing more...for someone to stand up and say...that the democrats will do more harm to country than the GOP has all those previous years. I am no great fan of the democrats either...for I see them in cohoots with the GOP on many of the policies doing most harm to american citizens. But the hypocrisy and fearmongering of the GOP supporters is really astonishing.

ashiguru proves my point.

notice how he breezes by the messes created by bush and republicans and talks badly about how democrats' ideas will be disastrous. Iraq is one example...he says if democrats pull us out it will be a mess....of course the reality is Bush created the mess. thats the way the mind works....they can create a mess, and want to use the same ideas to resolve the mess they created. Tax cuts is another example...the bush tax cuts created the deficit mess. the promised results have not materialized. But they insist that more tax cuts are needed to take us to a surplus budget... meanwhile they completely ignore that the budge was balanced and had a surplus under the higher taxes of the clinton presidency.
this is exactly what I am talking about. they ignore their failures and warn that democrat PROPOSALS will be failures.

You say that Republicans spread fear in one paragraph then in your next paragraph spread fear about what republicans do......

Do you see why liberals are so hard to take seriously?

The Democrats have policies that are clearly headed straight towards disaster. More social "security," higher taxes (yes, higher), raised minimum wages, and pulling out of Iraq are among the Democratic policies that have proven to fail!

I think that Democrats need to realize what they're headed toward.

The government needs to stop robbing hard workers of their retirement funds and giving it to people who aren't responsible enough to save money.

Higher taxes do not help the economy! The government gets more revenue in the short run, but pretty soon business gets stifled and the government ends up losing money while hurting our workers.

Raising minimum wages is just one more thing that takes us a step closer to socialism. People who go to school and work hard don't receive minimum wage! When we increase the minimum wage, the quality of workers goes down and inflation goes up, making the dollar worth less.

One thing that so many people don't think about is how Iraq will be affected if we pull out without them having a stable government. It will be like the Vietnam war; never completed because people who originally supported it got tired of it by listening to the media and believing it. The Vietnam War was a tragedy, and trust me, you don't want that to happen again; we have to complete the job.

I hear everyday people saying, "Raising the minimum wage make everything better!" and "We should withdraw our troops!" So many people today don't understand the economy and foreign policy. It's no wonder; the media speaks nonsense to people all across America, telling people what their opinion should be and what to believe. I think it's time the people of America started thinking for themselves and deciding their own opinion for a change; it'll do more good than any one president can.

I hope you all know now why the Republicans are telling you not to vote for a Democratic president. They have a reason, you know; they aren't just trying to cause trouble! The next time you hear the media saying, "Guns are bad! We should abolish the second amendment of the Bill of Rights!" we shouldn't just believe it without thinking it over ourselves.

And now with that said, I do notice how GOP supporters spread fear of what a Democratic president will do. I sure am glad they are still doing it, even when the media is always undermining them.

It's called education. Most liberals don't know anything about the actual issues, so it's up to conservatives to explain things to them Their own party certainly won't do it, for that would expose their politicians to the light of day. We do it as a public service for those who are bright enough to be educated. We ask not what our country can do for us, we ask what we can do for our country. I once served in the military for 20 years. Now I educate liberals.

Problem is we tell the truth, and you don't believe it. Before the 2006 election we said the Democrats in Congress would do nothing and we were right.

It's scary to think that the GOP has handed the Supreme Court over to the neocons. The religious right is in full control of our future.

Personally, I'm terrified of Hillary Clinton. I fear for my soul whenever she's on the TV screen. You're welcome to feel differently.
