And then they ask a question and you nod your head like it's nobody's business only to find out that nodding your head was not the right answer?

Yes, or they say, "So what do you think?". And I'm like, "Well, I'm not sure yet, I need to think about it. You know I never make-up my mind on things right away, I have to mull it over....". And they say, "You don't know where you got your friggin' JACKET!!". lol!

I zone out once in a while... usually I just nod my head every few seconds.

Once, I zoned someone out while someone was talking... I thought I heard a question in there, so I just nodded. I found out later, I was agreeing to a vasectomy. It hurt... so since then, I always shake my head when I think I hear a question >_<.

YES !! The hardest part is to try to work out what they are talking about 5 minutes into a conversation when your brain has been off thinking about whether you changed the dog's water !!!

Happens all the time !

I always zone out when someones talkin to me. Specially on the phone, when I'm doin sumthin else and they ain't talkin nothin important any way. But I always pay enough attention to answer the wuestion correctly, that or I just say, "huh?" My friends know me. And they know I don't pay attention to half the stuff they talkin to me about when we on the phone, thats why they don't call often.

Well ... it's a naturally occurring thing because of my huge, head, Afro & hat ... and genetically weak neck muscles. But since I'm a person of color they thing I'm listening to some internal rap music so they let it slide.

.... 'cuse me you say they think I nodding to my invisible friend Tito ..... heck you say ..... he's visible and his name is Tonto.

Yes. It is usually my mother telling the same story time after time and then she has to throw in a variation now and then and I get caught agreeing to something I never intended to agree to. LOL

Lol, yep...guilty as charged!
I don't mean to, but some of my friends tend to go on and on about silly @$$ stuff. I mean come on there's only so much junior high type crap I can listen to before my brain tunes itself out in self defense!
