If you gave it to him on a Saturday night, it would be normal and even predicted that he wouldn't call until Wednesday or Thursday. He probably doesn't want to make plans for the following weekend yet. If he calls any later than say Thursday lunch time I'd say you have plans for the weekend already - NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU LIKE HIM - because it shows you're willing to put your life on hold and it comes across kinda desperate. Definitely never wait by the phone for him, willing him to call will only make you frustrated and when you end up speaking with him you could come across in a way that's not appealing. Relax. Go outside or do something to stop thinking about it, if he's interested he will call.

Well, I wouldn't suggest putting your life on hold and sitting by the phone all day (as I'm sure you know).

I suppose the question is, do you know if the guy is in school or works? If he does you may have to wait until the weekend. He'll probably call later in the day when he isn't busy. At the same time, if he's really in to you he might call between classes or on his way home just to say "hi" and see when/tell you when he can call again to talk for awhile.

If he doesn't call after 5 days (and you're able to notice he hasn't called) he probably isn't going to call. If you've been too busy to notice that he hasn't called, he might have been just as busy as you and couldn't call. Usually, I assume they aren't going to call (sometimes they surprise you though)!

Usually if I get a # from a girl and I don't call by the next Thursday to try and make plans for the weekend or just say hi what's up then I'm not interested. Generally 3 to 5 days.

Wait before doing what? Changing your number? Giving some other guy your number?

What, are you waiting by the phone? What are you waiting for? Forget you gave him your number and if he calls great! If you have his number, heck, call him, but give it 3 to 5 days.

consider that it is the holiday season and he might be busy with family and friends. I would think that within 3 days he would call. Did you get his number too? If so then you can call him. He may be shy and nervous. If you don't try you won't ever know how things would go.

Two or three days. After that, give him a call or text him or whatever. If he doesn't respond, then he's not worth your time. And if he says he's busy, he's lying, because it takes two seconds to text someone.

Don't be waiting that is the key! If he's interested he'll be calling real soon. If you keep going with your life, instead of waiting, you'll not be too disappointed if they don't call.

Don't "wait" at all. He'll either call or not so go about your life as if you'd never met him...don't waste time waiting around to hear from him (because you may never).

If he does call, bonus. If not, then you haven't wasted any time.
