there are single mothers all over the world that have raised boys on their own, who have grown up to be mature responsible "men", and probably plenty who have not. But the same is true of children raised in a family with both parents.

Men still being boys mentally when they are 20 (normal really) 30 or 40 has nothing to do with which parent raised them, but how the parent raised them, and the choices they have made in life.

Yes he can still be a man....He would have other male influences in his life: uncles, brothers, grandfathers, teachers and peers. A lot of great men were raised by single mothers: Warrick Dunn, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and the list goes on....you may not agree with some of these peoples views, but they are all great men.

This is a strange question. A male baby born while the father is fighting in Iraq, and killed there, will still be a man when he grows up. If anything, he will have to be a man at a younger age.

Yes, I have a very dear friend who was raised by a single parent. His mother, she worked and paid the bills and he had to help out. He learned to cook and clean. But soon forgot how when he got married. He is married to a beautiful women and they have two children.
No one can accuse him of not being a man. He is smart and few of us has done as well as he has.
Not me I had two parents. But I really admire him for coming from such a poor enviroment and doing so well.

in my eyes you become a man from the choices you make in life and how does the split of the parents have anything to becoming a man your still in contact with both parent i assume so the only difference is you see them in 2 different locations

Well, of course! A single parent of any sex can raise a child of either sex to be the best person they were meant to be. Many single mothers raise men who grow up to be wonderful fathers themselves (my son-in-law is one them -- his father left when he was 3).

Yes. I've known young guys that turned into great men even if dad wasn't on the scene.

So long as he's a gentlemen. I think men without the societal constraints of masculinity make the best kind of men.

Yes, of course.

Men raised by single mothers are very common here. They make very good husbands, as they understand the sacrifices women make for their families.
