I'd like to get some good REAL stories. Was there violence in the past? Why are you planning on risking seeing them again. Are they just annoying, deceitful, smelly, drunk, inappropriate, nasty house, or flat out dangerous?

My Mother in law, who hasn't spoken to me or her son in 4 months, but when she last spoke to us told us that "we are selfish and that she is thankful that we can't have children because we would be horrible parents".....after a miscarriage and 5 1/2 years of trying to conceive. Thankfully, we won't see her at christmas or any other time in the conceivable future!! A VERY merry christmas!!

My son and his wife! I have always had a great relationship with my son until he married a woman that had been married twice before with two children from those marriages. She then gets pregnant by my son, and from that time on treated our family like we are not good enough for her. I thought that some day my son would put his foot down and come visit us, and bring my grandson, but he wont even do that because he said it will cause friction in his marriage. Not only do I feel bad, but my youngest daughter that is 23, is also disliked by my daughter in law, and is also not allowed to see my son. I know I have rights as far as seeing my Grandson, but I just would as soon stay away without causing any arguments or bad feelings. She wants my son all to herself, well she has him. I just hope and pray some day he comes around on his own. My daughter in law controls my son completely. He never use to be that type of person that would put up with that, but since hes married to her, he lives whereever she wants to, works wherever she wants him too, dropped good friends of his that he use to have because she doesnt like them, and she is a very controlling, jealous type of person. Why does he put up with this, I will never know. I just stay out of it, and so does my daughter, and my husband. What else can we do?

I wouldn't try to avoid any one of my family members this Christmas! And thats because the holiday is about being with family, and sharing memories and good times with each other! your have to put any differences you had earlier in the year behind you! And focus on starting something new in the following year!

My cousins, I hate it when they come over for the holidays. It's nothing serious really, they're twins, both 7 years old. AND THEY ARE SUCH A PAIN!!! I just hate them because they break EVERYTHING. Last year they busted my Ipod and almost trashed my guitar. Then they broke a window with a hockey stick! Ugh, and I'm always in charge of them, it sucks!!!

i'm 16. this christmas eve, like every year before, we're visiting my grandma along with my crack-addicted aunts and uncles and older cousins. maybe not crack....but they smoke like no other. most of them are crabby and arent children-friendly (which is the reason my 3 younger siblings to enjoy it there so much either). they live in the hicktown part of MN. seriously they are such hicks....they stuff their dead pets, they name their cat and dog: "Norton One, and Norton Two" they celebrate anything from birthdays to christmas and every day in between with ciggerettes and beer....its like "hey i got some ciggerettes lets celebrate with some beer!!!!" i had more reasons but my mind is blanking. ANYWAY, i always hold a sarcastic filled attitude when i'm around them. its so funny making fun of them

My Father. He's filed almost 26 suits against my brother, mother, and myself over the past year. None of them stand in court, but I sick of paying lawyers to fend him and his embittered sister off.

My Uncle Danny is an alcoholic and a drug addict. My nephew is schizophrenic. My mother-in-law cannot think coherently. Most of us are wacko.
