Your old ones...

I used to hate to throw out Christmas cards. I have taken some, punched holes in them, used red/green ribbon to make them into a bowl for the entryway next Christmas season. If you line it with saran wrap, you can even put cookies in it. (some cards have a coating on them that may not be food safe, hence the lining). Next year, use new cards to make another one. When I garage sale, I notice some folks put them on a board in the garage so that they can enjoy them for a year, then replace them with next year's cards.

Throw them away. What's the point? If I kept every Christmas card I get, I'd have a huge box of them.

First we hang them up.

Then I will discard most, keeping only those that seem unique and interesting.

I also started to keep track of the ones I send and the ones I receive.

Funny thing, I received exact cards from two people as I did a year ago.

Well when i get them i stick them up on the wall so when my family comes over they can see that I appreciate their sending me a Christmas card. But then on December 26th, I throw them all out. What's the use?

Display them until after christmas then put them in a box to look at in the future.

Oh, my old ones...I leave my new ones at the store, because I know they'll never get mailed.

I keep the old ones through New Years, read them one more time, then toss them. Once in a while, we keep special ones - like the one my wife kept that I sent her from Iraq.

I keep them in my treasure of box. so I can remember the day of all Christmas Day. you don't know the person who gave you the Cards might come one day and ask you if you still got it or throw it away and you don't want to tell him or her that you threw it away because that will broke his and her heart. that you don't care about their feeling and her heart.
