Ginda, Cristimas is a Time
To look to our neigbors, near and far, and collaborate with them to make love flourish.
It is a time to forgive, rebuild relationships, and to embrace each other with the compassion and mercy of the Heart of God.
It is also a time to bring to mind our childhood and the years we have lived.

Right after Thanksgiving I could feel the spirit of Christmas and the anticipation, but over the past week or so I've been wrapped up in work--getting my students through their finals, grading, paperwork, etc. (still not done). Now it doesn't feel like Christmas is coming at all. Maybe this will change on Christmas Eve. Music usually helps.

Peace to you this holiday season, and Merry Christmas.

Honestly I've had a tough time again catching the Christmas spirit. I have listened to Christmas music, wrapped presents, watched Christmas movies, made cookies, gone shopping for gifts . . . but still hard to believe it is that time again. Came way to quick.

I've learned as I've grown older Christmas can easily lose that magic it held when I was a child. That is why it is fun trying to catch the feeling again with my own kids. ; )

The question is not how Christmas feels, but how you feel. A lot of people feel sad at this time of year because of all the crass materialism that they weren't really aware of as children. You are not alone.

It doesn't even feel like Christmas. We have snow where I am but it still feels like I have to go to school tomorrow. I'm sure by tomorrow night it will feel like it but it doesn't right now. It came so fast I can hardly believe it. I remember when I was counting down from 100 days to now 2!

As you get older, you see christmas less a gift receiving holiday and more of a family get-together. So yeah, you might feel it isn't coming.
