It connotates the circular nature of all of existence. If you believe completely in free will, then you do not have free will to not believe in it. Goes right along with "Can God create a rock to big for him to lift"and " what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object" and many other philosophical oxymorons. Good luck and God Bless.

Because you can't possibly act as if you don't have free will. I can't choose to do X because I am predetermined to choose X, because my thinking that X is predetermined CANNOT be based on real knowledge that I am predestined to choose to do X. Claiming that I know my action X was predetermined amounts to a claim of knowledge I cannot possibly have had when I did X. Saying X was predetermined could only be something that I claim later after doing X, and it becomes then a pretty poor explanation (or excuse).

This goes to show that somewhere down the line we are not free. In other words we are slave of something and we must flutter our wings to be free of those shackles.

if there`s no other choice then how could it be "free will".
I don`t think we have Free will at all...i don`t think we are "that" free after all.
The free will thing is just to let us think we are free.
