at carnivals and stuff there is usually a ladder type thing falling off the side of the elephant, and then someone helps you down.

First i get the elephant to go to her knees...
then i get her to lay down very gently while I'm rubbing her
neck,ears back & legs..then i get her to roll over..and then
POW that's when i make my move and slide right down...
then i thank her for the ride and kiss her goodbye.
