Normal range is between 96.0-99.6 (35.5-37.5 Celcius). Anything over that range is considered an elevated tempurature.
An infant under 3 months of age with a temperature greater than 102 (39 Celcius) should be considered an emergency.

You can google it and stop asking, or call your doctor.

Anything over 99 is considered a fever. If you take it rectally you have to take away a degree, if its under the arm you add one. If the result is over 99 call your doctor.

After three months anything over 101 is a fever, and anything over 103 needs to be seen. But before then a newborn is not able to properly regulate its temperature and can suffer from a fever horribly, thats why its so serious and anything over 99 should be seen by a doctor.

it depends on your baby. some babies temps. run high, while others run low. i know that when my twins' both got sick, one started running a low grade fever. when i called the pediatrician to get an appointment for it, they advised that anything under 101 degrees is nothing to worry about. another pediatrician advised that nothing needs to be done via doctor unless it is at least 100.4. my daughter's temp was 100.2. you can get Infant's Tylenol (Acetametaphin) and half the lowest dose. you can always call any pediatrician in your phone book and they will let you know if that would be acceptible for your 2 mo old. my daughter was just at 3 mos old and i was allowed to do that.
