They work in different ways. Spywareblaster prevents spyware from being installed.
Spyware, adware, browser hijackers, and dialers are some of the fastest-growing threats on the Internet today.
By simply browsing to a web page, you could find your computer to be the brand-new host of one of these unwanted fiends!
The most important step you can take is to secure your system. And SpywareBlaster is the most powerful protection program available.
Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted software. Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. Restrict the actions of potentially unwanted sites in Internet Explorer.

Spybot will scan and fix problems after they have gotten in your system. It also has a immunize feature that will block spyware as well.
I feel they are great when used together.

SpyBlaster is a virtually unknown, little used antispyware with a website that is questionable. It is pretty expensive too.
Personally, I wouldn't touch SpyBlaster with a ten foot pole.
SiteAdvisor had this to say about the http://www.spyblaster.com/ website:
"When we tested this site we found links to rebrandsoftware.com, which we found to be a distributor of downloads some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs."

Spybot Search and Destroy was one of the first anti-spyware apps, and while Spybot is no where near as great as it once was...it is still free!!!
It's really no contest...It's Spybot S&D by a TKO.

I like Spybot still. It is smaller and was the first one to really help define spyware. It is still free and has grown more sophisticated. Spyblaster is okay. Even Windows Defender works pretty well.

If you mean SpywareBlaster, it only prevents spyware from getting into the ActiveX controls, it does not remove spyware like SpyBot, Ad-Aware and SuperAntiSpyware. You need a combination of these, SpyBot & Ad-Aware, or SuperAntiSpyware and Ad-Aware. They work best that way.

Hi. If you mean"SpywareBlaster", the program runs in the background and prevents malware from getting into your machine. Most others have to be run by the user. http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
