Ah, the wonderful freedom of the press.

Bunch of scum sucking mutants preying on other peoples misery or sensationalising the mundane lives of celebrities and politicians.
I don't wanna read what the Beckams have delivered, or that Donny Osmond was drunk in a night club (yeah, I know, but you get my point)

So they're professional stalkers. But if you of I hung around outside a celebs house we would soon be arrested.

The word stalker is overused and abused by people who use it to describe people who follow them and try to talk to them a lot. As far as the law is concerned (at least in Illinois, although I'm sure most other states as well), a stalker is not a stalker until he/she commits or threatens to commit violence (including sexual assault, restraint, etc.) against the person or the family memers of the person they are obsessed with.
