What position do you sleep in? Are you finding yourself on your back? That can affect your circulation, cause fluids to back up into your lungs and make your breathing more difficult. Try using pillows propped under one hip, and a few under your head so you are sleeping a bit more upright and the pressure of the baby isn't pushing upwards as much.

If you still feel like you are having too much trouble, don't hesitate to go back to your doctor and press the issue and ask them to investigate it further. If you are retaining fluids and if your blood pressure is going up as the result of preeclampsia, this could also cause some breathing difficulties, but you would also probably have other symptoms like generalized swelling, headaches, visual disturbances like floaty spots, a heartburn-like pain, etc.

Good luck, I hope you find relief.

Yes. Your uterus is increasing in size rapidly now, since you're in your third trimester and baby is now putting on most of his or her weight. As the size of your abdomen expands, everything else gets crammed to accommodate it. It's not unusual to feel out of breath. I find that just talking sometimes makes me feel run down! Ironically, however, a pregnant woman's body adapts to use oxygen more efficiently, so even if you feel like you're not getting enough air you probably are, and your body is doing amazing things to make sure your baby gets the oxygen he or she needs from you.

A lot of women at this stage find it easier to sleep with their shoulders elevated, or even sitting up. If you've got a glider or a reclining chair, you might try that instead of attempting to lie flat. In several more weeks, you'll probably experience what's called lightening - or, when the baby drops. It's called that for a good reason, since after this occurs some of the pressure will be relieved from your lungs and diaphragm (conversely, however, you'll likely trade that annoyance for increased pelivc pressure and discomfort).

You've done all the right things by getting medical attention for your concerns, and as long as your doctors aren't worried, you and baby are fine. Good luck and congrats! Just keep telling yourself...only 9 more weeks to go!

Being a mother of 3, I am not sure if it is normal.. but sometimes I felt that way when the baby was carried high.

Yes its totally and completely normal. Your heart, lungs and other organs continue to get pushed out of the way of the uterus. As a result your lung capacity is lessened.

It will get better when your baby drops.

I think it is just nerves and it is nothing to worry about but if you are concerned about it then you should ask your doctor and he will probably tell you the same thing but still ask him. Hoped this helped. Good luck and Congrats!!
