Where is it written that we HAVE TO spend the holidays with relatives. I love my family; but, I know some people whose relatives are really despicable. Isn't our HOLIDAY TIME to be spent with people who we care for and who care about us?

Well, I'm not planning to. My big brother and I do not speak on a regular basis. My mother and father are dead now and since my brother does not acknowledge me throughout the year, then I will not allow him to make my Christmas an unhappy one by going over there and feeling unwelcome. I think you should let the people you care about know so all the time, not just on special occasions like at Christmas. Not that I don't love him anyways, he just thinks he is better than me for some reason. IT is his loss. Me and my immediate family, my husband, daughter, and the dogs, will celebrate together here at home where we know the love is. That is what is important, being where we are loved and wanted.

I would love to be able to spend the time with my family. My husband and I are all that we have in Las Vegas. His family is in Florida and mine is in Memphis. I really envy the people that have their family with them on the holidays.
