He sleeps when you're active. If you're still he's awake, since your motion lulls him to sleep.

He's just like a newborn, just like a baby constantly had movements unless (and even if) theyre sleeping you'll feel those inside you.

It tends to be pretty constant at times, and some times its almost nothing all day. Its normal.

Yes, he does, but just like babies outside the womb, he also will have days of greater activity. And on the flip side, he'll have quiet days as well. At 18 weeks, babies have lots and lots of room to do acrobatics in. Enjoy it!

You don't need to be worried about a regular pattern of fetal movement until you're at least 28 weeks along. For now, pay attention when baby is active but don't stress too much if his periods of activity don't seem to be predictable. His sleep cycle won't be fully established until you're closer to 30 weeks, so he's likely to be active any time of the day. Chances are, however, that he'll move the most when you are at rest. If you're active and moving around a lot, he's likely to be lulled to sleep by your actions.

Give yourself a couple more weeks and those first flutters and nudges will soon turn into punches and kicks! Pretty soon you'll get to see them from the outside! Best feeling ever! Good luck and congrats to you!

lol. you are fine. just asking means that you are on the right path to being an excellent parent. babies move sometimes and sometimes babies move a lot. LOL! as long as you can feel up to 10 movements over a two hour period once a day you are doing fine. if you don't get this movement going on then you need to call you doctor. babies do sleep. they usually sleep when you are most active. so if you are sitting paying attention to him then he will probably keep moving.

That is so wonderful congrats!
It is a good sign when they move around and yes it is normal.
Wait till little baby gets bigger you will be able to see their toes and hands trying to break out.
It would freak my Hubby out near the end but I thought it was so neat:)
