wine is bad for dogs. it can destroy the kidneys
Is It Good to Give My Dog a Little Wine?
Question
If drinking wine is supposedly good for our cardiovascular system, does giving my dog grapes do the same thing for him?
Answer
Unfortunately, large amounts of grapes or raisins can prove deadly to your dog. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) began a study after receiving a large number of reports of dogs developing kidney failure after eating large quantities of grapes and raisins. Veterinary toxicologists found that all dogs in the reports showed signs of vomiting within 6 hours of eating from 9 ounces to 2 pounds of grapes or raisins. Other signs included diarrhea, anorexia (loss of appetite), lethargy, abdominal pain, and kidney failure. Treatment with intravenous fluids and other medications only resulted in recovery of about half of the cases. The other half did not recover. The causative agents or disease processes are not yet understood.
If your dog does accidentally eat a large volume of grapes or raisins, call your veterinarian immediately or call the APCC 24-hour emergency hotline at:

Webmaster seemed to know the right answer. I was going to say to call a Vet that is open 24/7 (if this even exists) and ask them. Even calling Poison Control or your Local Emergency Room would help out. I guess putting that wine up on a shelf that she can't reach would be the solution for her problem, you drunk, you! JUST JOKING!!! I KNOW you are not a DRUNK! Just had to put that in. I'm going to put a couple of sites below to see if this will help you any with your question. The weight of your Dog will be important to know, also.
This made me remember a dog I once had. We called him "BOGART", because he loved the beer my friends and I drank. We were stupid youths @ the time, and I'd even put it in his water bowl. (MY BAD, I KNOW). I do believe he became an alcoholic due to my reckless behavior. Had to take him to CAA CANINE ALCOHOL ANONYMOUS (Just kidding).
Anyhoo.....here are some sites. Hope they help. Take care and good luck!

You can give her a sip, but only if she is full grown. Letting puppies have alcohol can actually stunt their growth. Maybe you should just pour out enough for a sip and go through the hassle of refilling. Too much is not good for humans, let alone other animals.

Dogs would prefer water and drink a lot so make sure you have a full dish available.

I am sure there is some flat surface in your home that your dog can not get to. The dog should not drink any of it.
