Marriage is hard work, and it certainly doesn't guarantee the holidays will be fun, holidays are stressful on everyone. It is often lonely for singles at holidays, but who wants to get married just to avoid that? Since I don't want to be dragged to friend's family gatherings (which only calls to my attention that I am alone) I have some Christmas traditions of my own. For example: on Christmas eve I cook a seafood dinner, and then deliver small packages with one or two items to my best girl friends...whether they are married or not. Works for me.

OK, I am asuming you are married or in a relationship, don't know how old you are, but let me tell you this!!!!!
I was dumped this past october, after 6 1/2 years, he left me for his 27 year old co-worker he is 42, i am 48.
I am alone and miserable, he is happy holding her in his arms, he introduced his children from a previous marriage to her as a matter of fact they spent this weekend with him and her , them 2 have a new house together. Eventhough our relationship has been rocky, i feel it was all i ever wanted how sick!!! Like they say you don't know what you lost until its gone!!!. NO it is not nice to spend the holidays alone and NO I rather be sharing these days with somebody who loves me !!!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Right now I'm pretty much a little of both worlds. I am married, but my husband is in Iraq. Trust me, I wish more then anything that he would be home and be here to share Christmas and our 1 year wedding anniversary, but he is doing his job, and is proud to be doing so. Happy holidays everyone!

Pick me! I have been married 3 times now, and I wish I had never done it again after the first one. I just haven't been that smart, and consequently I haven't been that happy either.

I'm single ( widowed ) and would give anything to be married ( but only to the man that I lost.) 44 yrs was not enough.

I couldn't imagine my life without my husband..if anyone feels that way they need to go their separate ways from their spouse and move on. I don't know what i would do without my husband he is my best friend and why would i want to trade that in to be alone??
