Bush doesn't want it to EVER end. It all depends on who the next president is. Hilary probably won't end it... She probably won't even pay attention to it. The other punks probably won't do anything good for it either. I see a little hope for Obama, but I don't know much about his campaign. Ron Paul would be the best choice to take care of the problem brought about by the Shrub, but I don't think he'll make the nomination, though he is the best choice... Anyway, there you go. I'd say between 4 and 15 years. Too much damage has already been done... I voted Al Gore... Or would have if I was old enough to vote... lol. Anyway, Merry Christmas/ Hannukah!

It will never end and unfortunately this is exactly what Bush wants. The U.S. government wanted to to do the same thing to Iran, that is why it accused Iran of creating Nuclear weapons. This statement was recently proven to be not true.Iran was not about to create any nuclear weapons.
For those who say that the war is on terror, how could you accuse a whole nation of terrorism?
Besides what about Bin Laden, why does the U.S. government focus on Iraq instead of catching Bin Laden?
Bush first accused Iraq of possessing nuclear weapons, and that is why he is sending U.S. troops to Iraq. No nuclear weapons were ever found.
Then he said he will bring democracy to Iraq, I can only say hahaa.
Finally he said it was war on terror. So my question is: why does he keep changing his reasons for invading Iraq? .
What's wrong with telling the truth? Is it because the truth is too ugly?!

There is only the war on terrorists. Iraq is now an occupied country. The USA has said it will withdraw all troops when the Iraqis ask them to leave. But that has not happened. The USA is spending millions right now in restructuring that country. So, it will be years before the last troops are out.
And dont listen to the morons here who think this is about oil in politicians' pockets. The Constitution forbids political profiteering. That would be grounds for impeachment. And besides... Saddam set fire to the best oil fields when the invasion first began.

As soon as America elects a president that will pull out the troops. I think Gordon Brown and Stephen Harper will follow suit pretty fast, considering the vast majority of Britains and Canadians want this mess over with. I think the Aussies have had enough, too. And it's pretty clear from the last polls that Americans have had it.

As Michelangelo answered the Pope when the Pope kept asking him when he will be finished with painting the Sistine Chapel's ceiling...
Pope: WHEN will you make an END of it?
Michelangelo: When I am DONE!!!
Same with the Iraq war... when it is DONE... and that is a MILITARY judgement, NOT a political one! Let's NOT have another Vietnam and pull out without a decisive victory... when over 3 MILLION Vietnamese were killed after we withdrew our troops.
Have a "newsy" day.

The war will end when the occupiers are forced out and forced to relinquish their "national interest" in the oil rich nations of the middle east. or the when the oil fields shut down. After all, that is the only reason the war was waged in the first place. Terroism my butt!

it won't end. it may broaden in scope but it will still be going on. i don't expect it to truly end in my lifetime because it's not just the IRAQ war..it's a "WAR ON TERROR" it will simply get larger i think.
i hope to the Gods i am wrong.
