I have been a volunteer humanitarian worker for the last seven years. I have traveled to more than 16 countries and 22 states. In all that time I didn't have a home address, a couch, TV or even a kitchen to call home, but I have come to realize something greater than a physical address, it's the heart of what home is. I have homes all over the world. Places where people call me by name, they know I hate chewing gum and love coffee. People who I have cried with, laughed with and had a toast together. Home is the place where you love and are loved.

Yes! I left there on 24th August 1959 to get married and have lived in several places since, but the place where I grew up will always be my "home"

After years of feeling unsettled I think I've finally found it. Met jan 1998 and married '99. Moved into hers with her kids. They finally left 2005 and this year we have gutted the house. I cashed some bonds and we have a virtually new house and it's OURS!! That is after leaving my parents when I was 15, 9 years in the Army, 2 marriages, 2 long term relationships, finally, I'm home.

Yes, in Switzerland.
I first became aware of this after living in Switzerland for 4 years.
We were then 'on site' In Australia for 2 years. On our return we visited family in the UK. I went to the local shop in the village where I grew up. I could have been there the day before. No recognition, no special greeting, although I knew they recognised me. Then we went back to Switzerland. I went to the local shop and they welcomed me back to the village. The owner of the shop even called her ageing mother saying, 'Mother, come here, look who's back.' That's when I realised that Switzerland was 'home,'

Yes, I do have a place to call home. It seems that this is where I feel most comfortable and protected.

Home for me is in my heart. I have a shelter that houses my possessions, my furry roommates and where I eat and sleep(and answer yahoo questions)!

However, there are places and people all over that draw me to them and they dwell in my heart as well.

If you take away the idea of home as a possession and realize it's where you feel complete, then anywhere you are is home, and it can be warm with people and pets you love but an airport will do, as long as you carry the warmth of home in your heart.

I can "call" any place and everywhere "home".

(There are things that I like about where I am and many I don't... I'd say: there's not really anywhere that seems more like "home" than another place)
