back in those times women were not treated equally as men. If they were given the chance to, they would invent and create as much.

You cheeky B! lol
Mary Dixon Kies - invented a process for weaving straw with silk or thread
Sarah Mather - received a patent for the invention of a submarine telescope and lamp.
Margret Knight - When she was just 12 years old, she had an idea for a stop-motion device that could be used in textile mills to shut down machinery, preventing workers from being injured. Knight eventually received some 26 patents. Her machine that made flat-bottomed paper bags is still used to this very day!
A unique safety elevator invented by multi-patent holder Harriet Tracy and a device for lifting and transporting invalids invented by Sarah Sands
Julie Newmar - Patented ultra-sheer, ultra-snug pantyhose.
Elizabeth Lee Hazen and Rachel Brown - Combined their efforts to develop the anti-fungal antibiotic drug Nystatin. The drug, patented in 1957 was used to cure many disfiguring, disabling fungal infections as well as to balance the effect of many antibacterial drugs.
To name a few.

Behind every good man is a good women! Men have been holding us back for years just like you are in this post therefore we had to hide for years behind our husbands and let him take the credit!
Look at this country when Bill was in office who the heck do you think was running it?
Ya that is right we are smart and clever men cannot do anything without us.
Men just have more opportunity because other men take them serouse.
Me for instants very successfull and beautiful but I have to deal with men like you everyday trying to make an order for the store or something and have some pig man trying to talk sex with me.
The only thing good about that is I can get you poor pathetic men to do what I want!
HA HA
That is what you get for holding us back!

Excuse me, this man would like to answer this question by allowing the stage to his female counterparts who inhabit this world with us, who invented alphabet blocks, the fire escape, the elevated railway, the dishwasher, the circular saw, the engine muffler, tipex, the solution to correct mistakes, the electric water heater, kevlar,( the fibre in radial tyres, crash helmets and bulletproof vests) and many many more WOMEN my dear man WOMEN!!! lots of these things have been patented in their husbands names because one time it was against the law for a woman to hold a patentcy on an invention, none the less, they were all invented by women, a stroke of genius I would say, What have you invented today? like me my dear man, naff all, get a life and stop putting women down

Yes, it's all down to low intelligence.
Women have never been given much opportunity to get stuck-in have they? Pea brained men have always assumed they'd be happier playing the piano or embroidering.
But look what happens when the ocassional enlightened man encourages the missus?
Ever heard of Radium?
:-)

I think women have invented more than we realise, but are either not given credit for it or are forgotten.

No, lack of time, keeping house, bearing and rearing children and massaging the enormous ego of the male population.
