So last night I was driving on the freeway and my steering wheel just started JOLTING. I had to turn the steering wheel like 30 degrees to the left just to go straight. Needless to say, I immediately exited and since i was 15 blocks from home, I just decided to try to get the rest of the way there. Every time I turned left (and left only), the car would just go CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK. I made it literally 1 foot into my driveway (which is a left turn) and then all of the sudden my tire wouldn't turn and my car just got stuck. What's the problem?

all these are good, but you may want to check the wheel bearings as they could be toast,

Check your lug nuts, if they were loose then they have worn and stopping from turning

Tie rod end would be most visable, but if it popped off then your tires would not both be pointing same dirrection and you would not have made it off freeway.

If it is front wheel drive, check the CV joints, they are famous for breaking but if it was the CV joint, and it came apart you'd hear the clunk clunk constantly not just on left turn unless it came apart in driveway

stand in front of your car and look at tires, see if they are straight or if one is crooked or just what they are doing.

Hope this helps

you should check ur axles if its a front wheel drive car. if it is a rear wheel car probably ur tie rod end popped out of place or it might be bent.

Did you look to see if your tire is flat?
