Ummm, how is this:
- Little "I love you notes" everywhere around the house in surprise spots ...
- surprise dinners out, no special reason ...
- flowers at least once a week, just because a house isn't a home without them ...
- snuggles, cuddles, kisses and foot massages simply because ...
- the BEST back massage anyone has ever gotten as just a way to say she's happier when she's comfy ...
_ cooking many of the meals both because I am an excellent cook, and mostly because food is so SENSUAL ...
- listening and not arguing or correcting when she simply needs to explain why she's upset (the "Yes, Dear" response) ....
- cleaning up around the house when I have a day off, so she doesn't have to think about such things when she gets home ...
- sharing all the housework anyhow so she doesn't think she's just a domestic servant, and besides, it's always only fair ...
- NOt making any stupid remarks when the car's down and I know how to fix it ....
- asking for directions before there's a need to suggest it ...
- Viagra in the bath closet and knowing when to take it without any hints .... (not that I usually need it, but Mommy's Little Helper is always helpful reinforcement)

I am afraid I am also a hopeless romantic. I love all the romantic things, moonlight, love songs, summer breezes sunsets and being in love--all the soft, sentimental things of life, as time goes by.....Oh wait I got carried away there, I think that might have been a line from a (romantic) Sinatra song.
But yes, totally. Thru and thru. It is the romance that makes life rich and infinitely more worth living.

I am extremely romantic and affectionate. On a scale of 1-10, I am a 12. Unfortunately I have no one to direct that romantic side of me to currently. Perhaps, and I'm hoping, that will change in 2008. I feel THAT part of my life will never end. I like the whole thing....candles, wine, music, notes, notes on a bathroom mirror has always been special, flowers, cards, feeding each other strawberries, maybe with whipped cream, rose petals (wherever?)I would not enjoy being with someone who wasn't also romantic. They don't have to equal me but a cold fish would not be for me. I've always enjoyed being with
someone who enjoyed and appreciated my romantic side.

Pretty romantic I think. Maybe not in the ways that most people think are romantic. I like to sit outside at night in the summer and listen to the night sounds while making small talk. I like to sit outside at night in the winter with a fire going in the fire pit and roast marshmallows and drink hot chocolate while making small talk. I like to watch meteor showers or other events in the cosmos. I have just realized that maybe it is not what I am doing but who I am doing it with that makes it romantic. I am not about candle lit dinners and strawberries dipped in chocolate with champagne.

Hopeless, and romantic about many things.......I have a passion for living, and feel the romance in art, literature, and all things that are created.....The love of an artist breathing life onto a canvas, the passion a novelist instills in us with his words, the poet's rhythm, and of course, the ladies.....some of the most lovely, and precious creations on earth.........

I'm not romantic at all - bah humbug I say. And I'm female.
I think romance is a myth cooked up by retail to make us spend money on presents and weddings.

I am a closet romantic. A secret, hopeless romantic. I saw a photo of a daguerreotype of a handsome gold-rush 49er who looked like my husband when he was younger, and in the back of my mind, I made up this big scenario fantasy. Let's just leave it at that.............

When we were dating and first married we both went that extra mile to be romantic. Now we are more practical and just don't have the time. Save it for our anniversaries and such.
