When you answer the door, wear an overcoat, then when unwanted visitors pop by, say you're about to leave, and the wanted ones, say you have just got in so they can come in :)

curl up on the sofa, wrap up in a blanket & cough a lot. Go into great detail about the violent diarrhoea you're experiencing, & they'll soon be backing out the door. Plus, they'll think THEY'RE being the mean ones. Bonus!

I usually turn off the lights and go to bed. That often gives them the hint that it's time to go home. : )
