There are many excellent classes at Community Colleges that go from 7-9:30 one or two nights a week.
There are literature and art groups that meet to either create or discuss literature or art.
There are martial arts classes that meet at that time.
There are self improvement groups that help people deal with all kinds of problems, from drug and alcohol addiction to gambling addiction to troubles dealing with people who have addictions and these kinds of group meet during those hours also.
Of course there are many great book stores that are open during those hours.
Bars and clubs can be happening places to visit during those hours though that can get costly.
Your local public library may offer an interesting film series or poetry reading during those hours.
Remember: anything you do OTHER than watching television and exposing yourself to the lies of the media and the hypnosis of the barrage of advertising will be better than watching television. Even if you were to pet sit a collection of hamsters -- this would be time better spent than watching television.
