Let x be the size of the equal sizes
then base size = x -11
perimeter = x + x + x - 11 = 37
3x - 11 = 37
3x = 48
x = 16
the sides are 16, 16 and 5 ins

Let x = the length of the base

x + (x + 11) + (x + 11) = 37

3x + 22 = 37
3x = 15
x = 5

Therefore the length of the base is 5, and the lengths of the two other equal sides are 16.
