I have just wrapped my Christmas gifts, whoopie!! With, what I thought, was good quality wrapping paper; due mainly to the aesthetically pleasing Christmassy images on the paper and the not so cheap price tag that came with it!
However, I have spent the last, gawd knows how long, sellotaping the paper to oblivion, just so it sticks together! My 'well thought out, from the heart gifts', now look like, what can only be described as, cellophaned whole chickens!!!

This happens to me often - buing crap wrapping paper!
Have you done the same this year? Or could you give me some advice on where on earth to find wrapping paper that actually WILL wrap, so I don't make the same mistake next year? : )

I always thought presents came in carrier bags.
Seriously I understand your question. I take so much time wrapping up the presents but always have to use loads of sellotape. My man tells me there is an art to it. He can use the same paper and a small amount of sticky stuff.
Voila! Perfectly wrapped present........so now he does the wrapping!

I found the same thing. I bought a roll of kids paper from a cheap card shop, best quality stuff i've ever come across! however send my hubby out for a couple of rolls, he spends a fortune and its about as thick as toilet paper!!!!

If you get the Scotch brand wrapping paper - not only is it good paper - it has a grid on the back so you can cut straight lines. EXCELLENT!!!!

I know what you mean, when I wrap a book it looks like a TV aerial or deformed laughing shark.
I'm waiting for someone to invent self-wrapping items.

buy brown paper you can buy from post office, its quite tough if you buy the good stuff on the roll, then tie it with fancy ribbon and a bow it looks classy too...... :)

you should get plain brown paper, like mail paper.
and then tie pretty bows in pretty colors on it, because that stuff is pretty sturdy.
then everyone will know the presents are form you because it will be like your 'thing'.

Yes, tissue paper thin, rips easily, and you can practically see through it.
