I really like Medea from Greek mythology, Ariahnrod from Etruscan mythology and that awesome old country italian noble woman who went on a murderous rampage because all the italian lords were murdering her peasantry. She was basically the italian preconcept of movie screen William Wallace, set in olive garden world.

Aeval
Among the Celts of Ireland, Aeval was the Fairy Queen of Munster. She held a midnight court to determine if husbands were satisfying their wives' sexual needs, or not, as the women charged.

I always liked the story of Rhiannon, from welsh mythology. Now she had a hard time of it! Blamed for her sons death (supposedly she ate him) it just went down hill from there!

Persephone! Silly girl, ate the pomegranate seeds! Or maybe Arachne ... never challenge Athena to a weave-off. One of those two!
EDIT: I also enjoy the story of Pandora and her box!

Mother Mary. I mean, Joseph would never have believed it. She should go on Jerry Springer and see if people accept the immaculate truth.
