As of now, I am pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, but I would like to someday teach Health or a related subject at the college level. What degree is necessary for this?

It really depends on what subject area you want to teach and in what field. For the most part you will be required to hold the terminal degree in that field. My Principles of Disease Professor in Undergrad had a Master's Degree in Medical Illustration. To the best of my knowledge he was the only teacher I had that did not hold some type of doctoral degree(MD, DO, PharmD, DPT, PhD). My medical sciences teachers were all Medical Technologists they all had PhDs, I believe they were in Quality Assurance and statistics though.

Rarely you can get away with a significant amount of experience in the field and a different doctoral degree, ie 20 years experience in Kinesiology with a Doctorate in Education.

Essentially a Doctoral Degree with lots of experience is prefered. A Doctoral Degree will open most if not all doors while advanced degrees with experience can open some as well.

I hope this is Helpful

I don't think of "health" as a subject matter taught in most colleges. That seems more like a high school subject matter, although maybe some community colleges offer it. Usually, to teach at a community college, you need a master's degree in it. If you want to teach at a university, you would need to have a Ph.D. in a science subject matter.
