From what I have seen on here, I think it is fair to say the following:

DO you people like Rey Misterio JR (WCW Version) but hate Rey Mysterio (WWE Version)?

That is what I think is the majority opinions but I want to make sure.

I like him both ways but in WCW he was alot more entertaining and everything and more fun to watch. Your opinion please.

I have no problem with Rey-Rey. I think people assume just because he can't do some of the high flying things he could do in WCW means he's a bad wrestler now. I think he's got a great basic ground game, eons ahead of what he had when he first came to the states in ECW. I'll admit, WCW Rey was exciting and flashy, but I don't think much of his arsenal has changed, I think our standards for good, spotty cruiserweight wrestling has been raised with newer, more innovative young wrestlers.

I think it's simply a case of wrestling fans being jaded, which isn't rare these days. I'll even plead guilty on some counts.

Rey is still Rey the only time I didn't care for him much was when he was WCW without his mask. Just wasn't the same to me. I think why he gets so many detractors today is the fact that he won the WHC and most people don't buy him as a Heavyweight Champ. Personally I didn't think it was a great idea but I don't blame him for it. If the WWE wants to make you champ why would you say no?

well i loved him in wcw he had some great moves

but the problem with rey mysterio in general is that he has no innovative moves

all the good high flyers of the business like aj styles sonjay dutt jack evans and even john morisson to some extent all have very innovative moves

nothing that rey does is new ...
for example:
619 (Tiger feint kick) followed by:
West Coast Pop (Springboard hurricanrana into a pin)
West Coast Pop II / La Silla (Springboard seated senton)
Droppin' Da Dime (Springboard leg drop or springboard leg drop bulldog)
Pickin' The Dime (Springboard Splash)
Frog Splash - As a tribute to Eddie Guerrero
Super Hurricanrana - WCW / ECW
Tornado DDT - WCW / ECW
Signature moves

Mysterio-Rana (Mysterio jumps onto an opponent's shoulders and then twists around into a pinning hurricanrana
Mysterio Express (Running leg trap sunset flip powerbomb)
Air Mysterio (Hurricanrana to a cornered opponent, with the assistance of a steel chair or a tag team partner)
Slingshot crossbody, sometimes twisting in mid-air
Diving crossbody, sometimes twisting in mid-air
Second rope springboard reverse crossbody
Wheelbarrow counter into a bulldog, DDT or inverted headscissors takedown
Tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown
Roll out counter to a sunset flip followed by a high speed roundhouse kick to the side of the opponent's head
Moonsault / Split-legged moonsault
Dropkick
Spinning wheel kick
Bronco buster
Sitout scoop slam piledriver
Arm wrench inside cradle
Leg-feed enzuigiri
Tie to the tree-of-woe
Seated senton off the apron

that is a list of all of his most used moves
the only one there that is slighlty innovative is the west coast pop ... but still its just a fancy huricannrana

even the 619 has been used many times but people still think that rey used it first ....he even said himslef that he asked amazing red if he could use it

and when he does tha 619 to the big guys it is just so unrealistic....he should stick wrestling against the cruiserweights

im not taking anything fro rey he can wrestler and he is a good high flyer but he is quite overrated in my opinion ...
he was one of the best in the world in wcw and ecw but after his knee injurie he cant pull of the same moves as he used to....but that match against MVP at armageddon was impressive

good question though

if u hate him now and liked him earlier
then youre not a true Mysterio fan

even though his WCW days were far more exciting
Rey is still Rey
among the best legendary high flyers of all time

I like both versions. Just in WCW, the amount of cruiserweights made that division exciting. Hornswaggle pretty much diminished the value of the cruiserweight title in WWE and it isn't even defended anymore.

You know me...I never have gave a snickers about Him. To me in cruiserweights the Man will always and forever be
Jushin Thunder Liger
Rey Rey is many things, but a Liger he is not.

you know my opinion on rey but ill tell u again.

i stopped liking rey after he got his second victory over a big man. the first time he beat nash was more like that cool he got a fluke win but then they called him the giant killer and it started going down hill for me. also his 619 in wwe does not look believable on a big guy in the wwe. come on 200lbs will not make a guy like mark henry go from laying on the ropes to his feet and even when he jumps on him im pretty sure a guy henrys size would easily just catch him.

put him in with CW and i would like him again.
