If you were a photon, could you escape a black hole (from your point of view)?

Maybe, but whether it's the "same" photon when it leaves comes down to interpretation. A photon inside the event horizon traveling outward can be interpreted as eventually tunneling through the event horizon and joining the Hawking radiation causing the black hole to evaporate, or it could be interpreted as decaying away to nothing during its travels, with new photons emerging beyond the event horizon due to the space time distortion there. I don't think makes any difference

In a curious way, a BH is not so much 'frozen' in time, but beyond time. Haven't got time to give you the full answer though. Care to join me in a black hole?

a black hole is basically a dead star were the gravity is so strong in pulls light in. so if you were caught in one it would smash you. no escape
