Because its history, and people want to just let it go.
Lets fact it, people are flawed. And maybe a person does something , cuts a few corners, doen't acknowledge some information, doesn't act or respond...and in most cases..nothing happens...Oh, but that one time you dropped the ball and something does happen, that's when there's hell to pay.
Its just history repeating itself.
Remember Pearl Harbor ? There was indication that there was contacts in the air on radar and a few "oddities" but we were the perverbial "sleeping giant". We took it for granted and thought we were soooooo safe with the ocean as out geographical barrier. Alot like how many idiots out there think we are safe from Terrorism today. .........Until one day something bad happens. Then the idiots wake up...well...at least for a month or two then they go back to sleep, and the others outraged by what little was done want's peoples heads or someone to pay for what's been done....
History repeats itself.
Prying into some serious discussion now would only serve to feed the frenzy and witch hunt in the end. The media might sell a few more papters, but by and large, the real impact that should be made before America pays a heavier cost, is to wake the idoits up and make them away that they are the problem in America.
They take much for granted, never get involved, or stay awake to an issue long enough to be any good when it comes to voting in the right people to take care of America's future.
I've never like sheep, but we have many in todays society.
People made mistakes, I pray that the organizations and departments that did are correcting them, I don't fully trust them but I don't have the power to do anything about it...and that's the frustrating part. My anger is more geared toward the people that know what they do know now, and still are fool enough to think we don't have to worry about terrorism and that we don't need to be proactive. Yet these people will be the first to bash Bush for everything even though we haven't had a bombing since 911 and most plots have been foiled to date. They will also be the first to whine if something does happen to them. Sort of the mentality..its ok for someone's grandma to die, they are old, they are at peace...the complacent dribble you might here from an uncaring person...OH but if its THIER grandma...then the whole world should moarn.

There was already a complete investigation of 9/11 & it's clear it was NOT an inside job.
The investigation of 9/11 basically consisted of 4 parts:
1) THE 9/11 COMMISSION
This was an independent, bipartisan commission created by CONGRESS in late 2002. It contained BOTH Democrats & Republicans. It's basically an analysis of the terrorist movement & our response to it.
===============================
2) THE FEMA INVESTIGATION
FEMA along with American Society of Civil Engineers (they are non-governmental), did an extensive analysis of the WTC collapse (ASCE/FEMA World Trade Center Building Performance Study (BPS) Team)
http://www.fema.gov/rebuild/mat/mat_fema...
It’s useful to see the investigation team & their credentials at: http://www.asce.org/responds/wtc_team.cf...
It's a very impressive list of experts.
======================
3) THE NIST INVESTIGATION
This was a technical/scientific investigation of the collapse of the Twin towers & WTC7
NIST investigation consisted of hundreds (yes hundreds) of scientists and industry experts. Some of these are the leading authorities in the world.
http://wtc.nist.gov/
Both the NIST and the FEMA investigations have been confirmed by numerous published journal articles on the collapse.
4) THE INVESTIGATION OF THE PENTAGON CRASH
The “American Society of Civil Engineers” & the “Structural Engineering Institute” (both are non-governmental) investigated the Pentagon crash. Their report is called "The Pentagon Building Performance Report" & it’s at:
http://www.fire.nist.gov/bfrlpubs/build03/PDF/b03017.pdf
==============================
Since I have not yet seen a single SPECIFIC problem with any of these investigations, there is no reason to repeat them.
=========================
OTHER POINTS:
===================
CLAIM : Marvin Bush's was "a principal" in the security company at the Trade Center.
FACT: Lets not use imprecise words; let's say EXACTLY what he was. Marvin P. Bush, the president's youngest brother, was on the board of directors of a company that provided security for the WTC (Stratesec) from about 1993 to 2000.
Members of the Board of Directors meet a few times a year and make decisions as a group, usually about company performance & evaluation of the CEO. A single member of the Board can do nothing.
The Board is obviously not involved in the daily security operations. It means nothing.
========================
CLAIM: The chair & vice chair of the 9/11 Commission were unhappy with the way the investigation went
FACT: Not exactly. While they were peeved about political in-fighting & lack of money (as ALWAYS!), they absolutely DENIED any possibility of an inside job.
Proof:
The Publishers Weekly review of their book ("Without Precedent") says, QUOTE: “The authors [the Chair & Vice Chair] cogently defend the compromises they made and SWAT CONSPIRACY THEORIES about coverups”
(emphasis added)

Hamilton and Kean, the two people who headed the 911 Commission, have recently reported that the CIA was less than forthcoming during the investigations. That could lead to some further investigations. There were many unanswered questions about that day.
There was more time and money spent on the Monica incident than was spent on the 911 Commission report. Many people who wanted to testify with other information were not called as witnesses. I would say that constitutes an incomplete investigation.
The changes and expense that were caused by 911 should be completely justified to the American public. Further investigation does not mean that people think the government did it. Our future could depend on what really happened that day and the days and months preceding.

There has been a full inquiry. The USA also called in building experts, terrorist experts, explosive experts, and fire science experts from all over the world. They asked the brightest and the best in their fields to be guests here and give their input. None... not a one... could find anything except that it was a terrorist act. What more would you have them do? Listen to the half baked theories of some of the crazies on this forum?

because there is no credible evidence of any wrong doing by the government. There has been a full inquiry; we have better things to do with the money, and this way, the tin foil crackpots have a flag to rally around

Marvin P. Bush, the president’s younger brother, was a principal in a company called Securacom that provided security for the World Trade Center he would have never done anything like that. Your nuts if you can't trust a Bush.

oh no, not again. If you have proof please list it so we can discredit you one conspiracy theory at a time.
Further, please stop embarrassing your fellow libs, and your future self. It is probably only a matter of years before you mature enough to appreciate your ridiculousness.
