Okay. So I'm tall with curly hair. In fact, I very literally look like my avatar. Are there anime/manage characters I could dress up as for conventions? I mean, that fit my genetic profile and all. Much help is appreciated. Thanks, loves.

And someone her preferably doesn't have to have costume with an open stomach. My parents don't enjoy my flashing the belly button.

you know, i was actually thinking the same thing. even in the ones that the that person listed...the African-American/black ones in there are villains, poorly drawn (we all don't have big lips, jet black, dreads, and hard facial expressions), bald, or just plain throwbacks or ugly. If a manga artist were to make an anime and have an African-American/black person in it, no doubt it would sell allot throughout the black culture. Yes, we do read manga, we are not heathens. (and Asian as well, who doesn't want to read about another culture that's different from their own?! DUH)

i mean, if they feel that it's okay for them to "allow" Caucasians in their story like, how come blacks are not that important. i understand that the percentage of African-American/black people to go to the Asian countries are slim, but they cannot be blind in our looks. just as we have Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean and Chinese movies out in the U.S. (California) they have to have American movies out there...with subtitles obviously.

It's highly upsetting because i wanted to dress up for the anime convention as well....only to be linked to about 8 villains and hard core ugly African- Americans/blacks.

how come we cant play the love struck one, or cute quiet foreign exchange character. it's repulsive...but i continue reading manga hoping that i will come across one.

I haven't really seen any anime/manga characters with Latino or African-American people in them...I think that is kind of racial, but I suppose Chinese people don't see many African Americans. I suppose you could look on photobucket for pictures of African-American manga characters, but off of the top of my head I wouldn't know of any.
