When is the minimum wage suppose to go up in 2008 in CA?

Cuz I heard it was just don't know when though.

1/1/08: $8.00 per hour

the person below me has no idea what he is talking about, the 8.00 is effective on 1/1, it went into stages already! Check the link below, that is directly from the department of labor's website.

The 1st of January.....but not to 8 bucks like the previous poster posted. It goes to 8 bucks in stages. Trust me....already you are working in the red because price increases have already scarfed up your increase before you got it.
